Frequently Asked Questions:
Can you help me?
This is the by far most common question I’m asked… Everyone wants to know if chiropractic care can help whatever ailment or condition they’re suffering from. The best answer I can give you is this… Chiropractic has helped millions of people and a variety of conditions – possibly the very condition you’re asking about… however, it’s not a silver bullet. The honest truth is some people can be helped, but others cannot. There are different factors involved depending on how long the problem has been around, your current age, and the lifestyle you live.
The first step is to have an examination. The purpose of an exam is to find out what’s gone wrong, and what can be done to fix it. And because we follow the ‘Golden Rule’ in this practice, I only accept patients whom I feel will genuinely benefit from my care. So I’ll tell you this much… If after your exam I find that chiropractic isn’t going to help, I’ll tell you right then and there. We won’t waste your time or mine. And I’ll go one step further. If after your exam you don’t feel that you came to the right place, you don’t owe me a dime.
I want you to be 100% confident that you’ve made the right decision in choosing our office. If I can help you, fantastic! If I can’t, you’ve lost nothing except an hour of your time.
Where are you located?
We’re proud to be the premier Upper Cervical chiropractic office in the Webster Groves area. Our clinic, voted “Best of Webster Groves” in 2008, 2009, and 2010, is located at the intersection of Laclede Station and Watson Road in Yorkshire Plaza. Our street address is 8057 Watson Road. We’re easily accessible from highways 40, 44, 270 and 141.
Does it hurt? Is there any twisting, pulling, cracking, or popping involved?
We’re confident that our adjustments are comfortable and painless. As part of our pain-free guarantee, there will be no charge if your adjustment unexpectedly hurts. I adjust people of all ages, from newborns to senior citizens, and I’m consistently told how gentle, easy, and “underwhelming” the adjustments are… So, if you’re the type of person who doesn’t like to have their neck twisted, pulled, popped or cracked, you’ve found the right office.
Do you accept my insurance?
My unique payment options appeal to patients from all walks of life. Insurance simply isn't needed. Some people, however, have insurance plans that entitle them to some level of reimbursement. In these instances, I will certainly do my part to help you receive your eligible benefits. But a word of advice: Trying to use medical insurance for chiropractic care is like trying to run Windows on a Mac. They're just not compatible. Medical tests and treatments are expensive; chiropractic care isn't.
I’ve been to a chiropractor before, and it didn’t help. How is Upper Cervical Care going to be any different?
We’ve cared for chiropractors as patients, family members of chiropractors, and patients who’ve received other forms of chiropractic care in the past. They’ll openly tell you that Upper Cervical Care is completely different from what they received from other “full spine” chiropractors. The truth is, some patients can respond much better to one form of care than another. And just like you wouldn’t disregard all Medical Doctors if one of them wasn't able to help you, we encourage you not to assume all chiropractors can’t help you either.
